Facilities Maintenance Department

The Norfolk County Facilities Maintenance Department is responsible for the management of all County-owned buildings. These include five District Courthouses: Brookline, Dedham, Quincy, Stoughton, and Wrentham, the Registry of Deeds, Norfolk Superior Court, and the County Administrative Office Building. Overall these facilities include approximately eighteen acres of land and two hundred thousand square feet of interior floor space. The courthouse facilities are owned by the County subject to rental agreements with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for use by the Norfolk County Trial Courts, which are agencies of the state. 

The Legislature's approval of the Court Bond funding to address specific issues and handicap accessibility in our Courthouses has been helpful. We work with the Trial Court and with the State's Division of Capital Asset Management, which oversees the design and construction of these improvements.

The goal of our Department is to render quality services and workmanship for the County of Norfolk.
